Hey, I know most people are pretty conscious of the value they get for the money that they spend, but I’ve got something I want to run by you, and I’d love your input.
Imagine Paying Taxes in Cash
Let’s just say that you got paid gross wages, no taxes taken out, you just got paid, and it’s all in cash every single pay period. And you are responsible to pay your taxes to the state and the IRS.
So you’ve got to take the cash and have it in your hand, and then you’ve got to go pay that.
Would you question what you're getting, what your return is on that money?
Would you question it a little bit more than you do now? I think most people would. Don’t forget, for some of y’all, it’s hundreds of dollars a paycheck. You’ve got to ask yourself: What am I getting for this, every single pay period? Is it worth it?
This Isn’t Property or Sales Tax
Now don’t forget, this is not real estate tax going to schools or any of that stuff. It’s not sales tax. It’s not gasoline tax. This is just tax that goes to the feds, the Internal Revenue Service, the government, and the state.
So think about what they give us, and if you think it’s worth it or not. I think they’re wasting a bunch of our money. Remember that come time to vote. Think about candidates that want to do away with waste, because I don’t see that on many tickets. Wasteful spending, I just think they all want to: Tax. Tax. Tax. And they’re all getting wealthy, and we’re struggling more and more.
But please think about that when you cast your vote. Make it a great day.
