Hey folks, Bob with Express Electric here.
Well, we're winding down another week, and I just wanted to touch base with everybody.
To those of you that we worked for this week, thank you very much. I appreciate it so much.
To those of you who didn’t call us but might need us, let us know! Call us when you do. We're here for you 24/7.
We had a pretty decent week overall. Of course, we did have a few of those days, you know the kind. The kind where you think, "Man, let me go back to bed and start this over." Everything seems to go wrong.
But you can’t let the bad days control you. I had one of those this week myself, just being honest. It's part of life. You're going to have your good days, and you're going to have your bad days. The key is not letting the bad ones take over. If you do, it’ll drag the day out even longer, make it feel worse, and sometimes even ruin the next day. And you know, some people hold onto grudges. Let me tell you a quick story about that.
The Monks Story
There were these two monks walking through the woods. They came across a young lady standing at the edge of a muddy puddle. One of the monks picked her up, carried her across the mud, and gently set her down on the other side.
About a half mile down the trail, the senior monk turned to the younger one and said, “I can’t believe you picked up that young girl. You know you’re not supposed to be touching women.”
The other monk looked at him and said, “I put her down a mile and a half ago. Why are you still carrying her?”
That’s what we do in life sometimes, we carry negative things for way too long. Maybe something bad happens at work, and we take it home. We walk through the front door and take it out on the kids… or worse, the cat!
So if you’ve had a bad day, let it go. Things could always be worse. Do what you can to make it right, and if you can’t, chalk it up to experience and move forward.
Anyway, I’m thankful for you folks out there. I'm blessed to have such great customers.
And remember, if you need us over the weekend, we're here 24/7. Give us a call.
Have a great evening!
